About Kashyap Prajapati

Kashyap Prajapati, born on 11 October 1995 in Kheda, Gujarat, India, is a right-handed batsman and right-arm off-break bowler who represents the Oman national cricket team. After playing age-level cricket in Gujarat until 2018, he moved to Oman seeking better opportunities and began playing for corporate clubs. Prajapati made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Oman on 26 September 2021 against Papua New Guinea and his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut on 17 October 2021, also against Papua New Guinea, during the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. His proficiency against spin and ability to anchor innings make him a vital asset, especially on subcontinental pitches. In the ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2024, he contributed 105 runs in six matches, aiding Oman's progression to the final. Prajapati's role becomes even more significant in the absence of seasoned opener Jatinder Singh, as Oman looks to him for solid starts in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Beyond his on-field contributions, Prajapati is involved in grassroots cricket initiatives, sharing his experience and fostering young talent in Oman.
